The 555 Ground School is a flying theory class, preparing cadets to get selected for advanced summer pilot training. Cadets may then obtain their Glider Pilot License and/or Private Pilot License.  

Here are the criteria to apply to the Glider Pilot Scholarship:

  • Be 16 years old before mid-August
  • Be at least in level 3 at the squadron
  • Be in secondary 3 (grade 9) or higher at school
  • Outstanding Squadron involvement (attendance rate, attitude, motivation, etc.)

Here are the criteria to apply to the Power Pilot Scholarship:

  • Be 17 years old before mid-August
  • Be at least in level 4 at the squadron
  • Be in secondary 4 (grade 10) or higher at school
  • Outstanding Squadron involvement (attendance rate, attitude, motivation, etc.)

  • When: Monday nights
  • Time: From 06:30 pm to 09:00 pm.
    Note that with the new online program, cadets must complete the 45h of grounschool on their own before writing the entrance exam
